King & Queen of Queens

By November 19, 2017USA

It’s weekend, it is raining and…believe it or not, we are still enjoying New York to the fullest. The only thing that really changed is our homebase for the last couple of days until we head towards Vancouver/Canada. While we first had the honor to stay with the one and only Mrs. “Hollywood” Klapper (thanks again Cornelia for everything), we now changed the neighbourhood from Brooklyn to Queens and gave our beloved Couchsurfing another try.

Queens and it’s culturally rich neighbourhoods didn’t only welcome us with open arms, but also made us realize again how diverse and unique this city really is. Just jump into a bus or train, drive 30 mins and jump off again. I will guaranty you that you might be surprised and won’t regret it. While one part of the city is mega busy and it’s almost hard to breath, the other one is completely different with super relaxed coffee shops, nice small restaurants and unique shops wherever you let your point of view drift. The choice is yours. Every day! Guess that’s also the reason why we sometimes travel for over an hour to just hang out and work in one of our favorite coffee places in either Dumbo or Williamsburg. You might call it crazy. We call it our office for the day 🙂

But enough is enough for now…there is still just too much to explore in this lovely city! But no worries, our next blog post is just around the corner… Till then, Philipp & Melanie
